newborn / Baby photo Sessions

Whether you are currently pregnant, or you already have a newborn or older baby, I'd be excited to capture you and your little one.  I love working with families around Marlow to plan the perfect session for them and their baby.

For my style of photography, there's really no such thing as the perfect time for your baby photo shoot- every phase of your little one's first year is special, and photo sessions at each stage have their own highlights.  Newborns sessions are lovely because they are so sleepy and tiny, and that scrunch in the first two weeks or so is just adorable... but then the smiles and eye contact come, and as baby grows and develops, they start to show more personality and connection with you, so older baby photo sessions can be just as special, in their own way.

Honestly, whatever stage you decide to plan a photo session will be perfect, for different reasons.

Most of my newborn and baby sessions take place in the comfort of your own home in the mornings.  I clear a whole morning for a baby session to make sure that nothing is rushed.  We will move at baby's pace- if baby is unsettled we'll stop for as long as we need to, if baby needs a feed or a change, that's what the focus will be.  Sessions can be as short as an hour or as long as three hours if they need to be.

I'll make sure I capture all the little details- hands, feet, ears- their connection with you and your partner, as well as any siblings or pets.  All my baby sessions involve gentle guidance about where to stand or sit, and how to hold baby... but they will also include documentary elements too where I will capture you as you care for your little one.

If you'd rather hold your baby session outdoors, feel free to reach out and we can find the perfect location together.  Whether you'd like to be in your own garden, a local woodland or park, I can suggest a range of options for different times of year.

I have a small selection of wraps, blankets, bloomers and outfits for babies of different ages which I can bring with me to your session if you would like to look through them.
