On select weekends this autumn, I'm offering mini sessions in Marlow Common...

The children can climb trees, play on swings and explore dens.

The sessions will be relaxed but a bit more guided than my longer sessions to make the most of the time.

These are perfect for families who want to update their family photos regularly throughout the seasons or those who'd like a taster of what a photo session is like.

The Location

We'll meet at the triangle in Marlow Common (full directions will be given)- it's a perfect spot for children to explore the woods, with parking nearby. There are trees for them to walk across, dens which have been built from fallen branches and a rope swing hanging from a tree.

I'll also have games and prompts up my sleeve- which will get you all playing and laughing together naturally, if you'd like some guidance. My sessions involve plenty of movement, if your little ones struggle to sit still, don't worry at all! I'd love to capture them climbing trees and running around!

My style is very relaxed and natural- capturing you guys exploring the woodland and playing.

If you want a more traditional family portrait, I'l gather you together at one point during the session for this-

If children struggle to sit still, we'll make it into a game where they across walk to tickle someone else in the family.

In September, Marlow Common will look more like the images above - these were taken at the location last month - while October brings an incredible carpet of bronze leaves, and richer tones.

FAQ

What if it rains on our session date?

If it's just a shower, we'll go ahead - I'll bring clear umbrellas which photograph well. if there is heavy rain or strong wind, we will reschedule to either the next day or the following weekend. If we are unable to reschedule, I will refund your deposit payment in full!

Will 30 mins be long enough?

These mini-sessions will allow us enough time to get a few family portrait and some individual portraits. I send out a questionnaire to find out what kind of photographs are most important to you.

I offer longer sessions for those who prefer to have time to relax into things and get a full gallery with a real range and variety of images. In my full sessions, it's much easier for me to build a rapport with your little ones and they feel much more like a family adventure in the woods, rather than a photo session!

Minis are perfect for families who aren't sure if they want to commit to a full session, but who would like to try it out and update their family photos at the same time.

Tell me about the full process.

You book a time slot and pay the session fee, I will reach out shortly and send you a prep guide (which covers what to wear and bring with you). I reach out the day before our session to send directions and send you a pin on whatsapp the day of your mini-session when I arrive at the location.

2-4 weeks after our session, you receive your photographs in an online password-protected gallery. You can download your favourite 5 images immediately, as part of the session fee, or choose to upgrade to the full gallery to download them all!

Can we bring our pet? Grandparents?

Oh yes, please do, Marlow Common is the perfect location for your dog to join us. I welcome pets, as they are part of your family too! And grandparents or extended family are more than welcome to join us.
